How to drink responsibly

Our client Arts and Venues Denver is instituting a venue-wide sustainability initiative. The first venue to embrace this is Red Rocks, so we were tasked with creating an identity and cup design for their new compostable cups. One of the goals is to divert up to 90% of the trash from landfill, but other efforts such as replacing backstage lighting with LEDs, utilizing solar power and water conservation efforts all do their part to manage resources responsibly. Small heroes

After working with the Denver Preschool Program (DPP) for several years, it was time for an overhaul from the bottom up. The purpose of this update was to give the public a renewed sense for the values of DPP, and to create a targeted awareness campaign driving traffic to their new website and ultimately increasing enrollment numbers. By using portraits of actual DPP recipients in a larger-than-life style the children became the hero, making the ultimate connection to both parents [...]

Staying the course

The Vail Valley Foundation (VVF) approached us to design an identity for the new women’s downhill racecourse and location of the 2015 World Championships, Raptor. As Raptor stands adjacent to the historic Birds of Prey men’s downhill course at Beaver Creek, VVF challenged us to correlate the design to the existing Birds of Prey mark. The result: An identity and promotional poster for Raptor which considers Birds of Prey equity and balances distinctly feminine elements while representing the incredible power and speed exhibited [...]

A clear view on values

This home-grown, family-oriented manufacturer of sunglasses and goggles was born and has existed in Colorado since 1976. The company remains independently owned and operated and uses this as an essential point of difference. In a marketplace that revolves around high-profile sponsorships and profit margins, Optic Nerve takes care of their people as much as they take care of their business, creating premium eye wear that is accessible to all, and investing in causes that make a difference in their communities. Native forms

Native American-owned firm, MOA Architecture, offers a full range of architectural services, taking projects from concept to completion. We created a logo using forms that hark back to their Native American heritage while pointing to larger themes of collaboration, creative balance, geometric accuracy and integrity. We extended the visual brand to business papers — including business cards, envelopes, labels and a grid sketchpad that uses recycled paper and soy inks to support a larger sustainable mission. We also created a unique, content managed website that [...]
